Nail Art Expo!

Hello!

Sorry for being away for so long! The reason is that I was very busy preparing for the expo in which i was going to have a nail art booth in! This expo, called Mommy Swagger, occurs semiannually in texas, and is dedicated to showcasing the most unique hand made crafts. Most of the other booths were variations of really nice handmade jewelry, knitting, aprons, clothes, and photography. Mine was the only nail art booth, but there was one other booth which sold handmade nail polishes! Over all i had a great time and it was such a nice experience. I basically did nails all day long while getting paid! Dream job.
Most of the clients i got were young girls and teenagers, because nail art is such a hip trend now, and also 2 or 3 adults who were attracted to the designs. I literally, literally took my entire room along with me, since most of my room is nail related haha. I got a pretty satisfactory amount of people to get their nails done with me and also lots of the parents of the young girls were asking if i could do birthday parties, similar to those at makeover places like Sweet and Sassy!

Most of my booth, I had 2 tables, one a gallery of sorts, and the other is the work station!
work station!
I tried working on two people at a time in order to minimize waiting time

The gallery table where the people looked at designs and chose one out of the design binder

Union Jack Nail Art!

Hello!

I haven't blogged in a few days :( Mostly because I've been so busy with school and exams..

But here is a super fun manicure with different variations: the ever popular union jack!

The base I now use for this design is an awesome blue glitter from China Glaze called "Dorothy Who?"

I do the union jack with my striping brush, first doing the white part then the red..

I even did this for my friends when we went to see the amazing Florence + the machine in concert!

and here is another variation:

Until next time!

Neon Pink and Butterfly :)

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had great mondays, because as we all know, mondays suck.. I'm starting off my monday with a cute manicure! I've got a hot pink/neon french tip on a sheer peach base! I'm getting loads better with free-handing the french tips with my striping brush.
I really love this combination of subtle and popping pink!
Next, I free-handed a butterfly as an accent nail! This is actually my first ever butterfly design!

Until next time!!!

It's a Trap-eze!

Happy Friday!

Today's look is a really interesting and unique colour, and I admit it's not for everyone... Some people want to throw up when they see it, and some people love it so much that they stock up on multiple bottles at once! I'm talking about China Glaze- It's a Trap-eze! a very cool rainbow glitter from the Cirque Du-Soleil collection from 2012.. I had been looking for it for so many weeks until I found only one bottle at an Ulta 2 cities away from my city! It's a Trap-eze! is rainbow hex glitters of different sizes suspended in a milky lavender base, and it's a bit sheer on it's own. The best way to explain this polish is that it really looks like Funfetti cupcakes. Or confetti..

This is when I first wore it, the night I purchased it :)

And this is yesterday's manicure!

Until next time!

Layla Holographic!

Good Afternoon :)

Over the summer, one of my best friends went to Italy on holiday and while in Rome, she picked up an awesome nail polish as a gift for me! She gave it to me on the first day back at school and I was so ecstatic, it was my first ever holographic! I had always been so obsessed with the holos from NFUoh but they were always out of stock on the website :( So she got me a Layla Holographic! This holo is really great, and truly shows every colour of the spectrum, even when not in full sunlight!

This is Layla Holographic- Jade Groove.. She also got for herself the aqua version of this and it also looks great!

I experimented with some striping tape...

Thanks leticia for the amazing polish! love you :)

Until next time! :))

Blue/Gray and Flowers!

Hey Hey Hey :)

I've been so busy with school these past few days that I've had the same nails on since Friday! Gasp!
That's actually a really big deal for me since I usually can't go 3 days without changing my mani.
I've also been working on an art project for the past 2 weeks and I'm finally about to finish it!

Today's post is a soft and pretty manicure I did when I was really into floral designs, which I still am, but not as much.

Also here's a sneak peek at the progress on my drawing! It's nowhere near finished though...

Until next time!

Galaxy Nails!

Hello!
Happy Monday? Who are we kidding, Mondays don't deserve that..

But...here is some nail art to brighten your up!

This is the first and only time i've done a galaxy design, and i know that it's so popular now around the nail art world, everyone's doing galaxy designs in really cool color variations!

Mine is just a simple blue, teal, green, etc.. but I quite like how it came out, maybe I'll try again in a purple version!

Until next time!

Geometric Nail Art!

Happy Saturday!

Today's nail art is inspired by that of the completely awesome Chelsea King! I based my mani off of this one.
Check out her blog! http://chelseasgetnailed.com/
So, I didn't think I would have a hard time making the squares straight, but unfortunately I did! I actually had so much trouble that I didn't even bother to do my other hand, lol!
But I do still like how they came out, so here they are!

Until Next Time!

Gradient Leopard Print!

Happy Friday!

Today's post is about a really cute mani I did a while ago that still remains one of my favourites I've ever done!

It's a simple gradient with a few shades of pink

(My Youtube tutorial for gradients can be found here

Psychedelic Swirls!

Hello!
Hope you are all doing well :)
Today's post is the mani that I actually currently have on, and I love it! It's quite simple, but definitely eye-catching.

Black and silver swirls using one of my favourite stamping plates.

Later on, I got a little bored and added a Flakie top coat!

This flakie top coat is a duplicate of Essie- Shine of the Times, and flashes a beautiful red, orange, and green!

Until next time! :)

Red and Gold Glitter Gradient & Fancy Desserts!

Good Morning!!!

Happy Humpday to everyone! It's nearly the weekend!

A while ago, my dear friend and I went on a little trip to a famous place in our city that sells cute french desserts! Of course, my nails had to be dressed up also..

I slapped on a great one coat raspberry colour, and a gold glitter gradient! Fancy, eh? ;)

Mmmm, those were sooo yummy.

Until next time! :)

Max X Fantasy Fire

Good Morning everyone!!

All this week I have classes that start really late so I'm super happy that I get to work on my blog!

Today is a super special post about the infamous exotic beauty: Fantasy Fire!
For those of you who have not heard of this polish, it's a very nice shimmery colour that sadly can only be found in Europe. The website doesn't even sell overseas! And if you wanted to buy it on amazon or Ebay, naturally it gets pretty pricey. With all that said, I still HAD to have it! This polish is MAGIC! It changes colours depending on the angle in which you look at it, and even in the sun it glitters like flames.
That's when the polish goddesses looked down upon me and I won a giveaway that I had entered on my Instagram !!!!! The giveaway was for one bottle of Fantasy Fire coming all the way from Scotland! Thanks to the very sweet Amy, I finally have this beauty in my stash!

Now, the Fantasy Fire bottle is extreeeemely small, mind you. So when I first put it on I was so scared to waste it! This is 2 coats of FF over 2 coats of Sally Hansen "Thinking of Blue".
As you can see, the blueish purple shows, but then there is a glitter of magenta. Ahhh!!

Here is FF in the sunlight!!!! That sparkle oh my gosh.

Of course I HAD to do some nail art, but I didn't want to cover up the polish too much, so i settled on an accent nail with my gem things, and made a poinsettia-looking flower!
And look at how small the bottle is :( *cries*

If you live in Europe, drop everything and run to purchase this!!!!!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

My first blog post! and Easter mani

Hello Everyone!!!

Welcome to my blog! I've finallyyyyy worked up the courage to start up my very own nail art blog! I've been very passionate about nail art and nail polish for around 4 years now and I love how popular this type of expression has become in the beauty world! After spending years following some amazing nail blogs (can be found on my blogroll to the right), I thought it was finally time to share my art also!

My name is Cindy and I'm American, though originally Lebanese, and I love art in every way! This blog is where I will post my adventures with nail art and all awesome nail related things. I'm so excited!

Since yesterday was Easter, I think it's only appropriate to start off with my Easter mani! I love wearing pastels around this time of year, they're so beautiful!

I recently re-shaped my nails into squares, so I'm loving them!! For this mani, I painted each finger with a different pastel, and topped them with white polka dots. Then with my gold glitter striper, i painted on the bows and used matching rhinestones for the centers!!

Here is my Easter pedicure! For this look, i painted all my toes with the same coral colour, then on the first toe i painted on a white layer in a sort of half-moon. Once that dried I painted a layer of darker pink similarly, and outlined with my gold glitter striper!

Thank You for reading, and Happy Easter! Have a great day!
